The transmission-line theory applied to optical filters

Abstract

A technique developed for tapered transmission lines is presented for the design of optical filters. Optical filters with graded index profiles are analyzed by solution of the nonlinear Riccati equation. Numerical results show that the method provides accurate solutions and computes the frequency response of the filters faster than the matrix method.
