Abstract

The dynamic after cavity interaction in a down-scaled gyrotron model has been studied using a 3-D conformal finite-difference time-domain particle-in-cell simulation. The purpose is to identify whether this effect is physical or artificial and might be taken into consideration when designing the uptaper and launcher.
