Fabrication and properties of PMS-PZT green sheet

Abstract

To manufacture green sheets using tape casting method, non-aqueous additives were added into a CdO substituted 0.05Pb(Mn1/3,Sb2/3)O3 -0.95Pb(Zr0.52,Ti0.48)O3 piezoelectric ceramics powder as starting material. The green sheet was manufactured by changing amount of powder and additives, and sintered at 900°C, 950°C, 1000°C respectively. In this study, with the variety of amount of additives, it was investigated the viscosity of slurry, sintered density, microstructure, phase analysis at each temperature and thermo-gravimetric analysis were investigated in order to search a burned out soaking temperature. The dielectric and piezoelectric properties of the sheet were improved as compared with bulk.
