CPW-Fed tuning stub loaded wide-slot antenna for UWB applications

Abstract

A printed coplanar waveguide (CPW)-fed slot antenna is proposed for ultra-wideband (UWB) applications. The proposed antenna consists of a wide slotted ground plane for broad bandwidth and stubs for additional impedance matching. The simulated -10 dB reflection coefficient bandwidth is 16.72 GHz from 2.38 to 19.1 GHz. Therefore, the proposed antenna is a good candidate for UWB, WLAN, and WiMAX applications.
