Blind detection of interleaver parameter using error-less symbols

Abstract

This paper proposes a blind interleaver period estimation algorithm by sorting error-less symbols. After finding the error-less symbols through the rank distribution of the square matrices, we construct a rectangular matrix by locating errorless symbols on the top of a matrix. By analyzing this matrix, we can estimate the interleaver period. Experimental results show that the proposed algorithm has better performance than the previous algorithm in terms of detection probability.
